Vestibular systems have crystals that help us maintain our spatial orientation. Sometimes, these crystals will fall into its adjacent canals that give us a false sense of motion. This may cause dizziness. Maneuvers are specific movements that move your head and body in certain directions to clear the crystals from the canals and reposition them back into their original places. This is a very powerful technique to clear your vertigo. 

Reduced function of the vestibular system may also cause dizziness. We will help you improve your balance with the variety of training techniques, such as teaching you how to stand on a slopped surface while reading or how to maintain your balance during visual disturbance such as observing rotating geometric shapes, giving you the impression that you are walking. You will also learn how to walk straight in a line while turning your head in different directions. We can also demonstrate many other techniques to enhance your vestibular system, including activities such as closing your eyes or balancing on soft, bouncy surfaces. 

Dry needling is also called Western acupuncture. We use acupuncture needles to target the lesion in the musculoskeletal tissues, in the adjacent tissues to the nerves to promote the healing and the repair. Targeted areas include muscles, ligaments, tendons, peripheral nerves and, in some cases, cartilage. Dry needling functions like a very deep tissue massage, targeting and repairing areas that traditional massage struggles to address. 

Spinal and peripheral joint manipulation or adjustment is safe after doing a thorough screening to identify any potential health conditions. This effective technique moves the bones that have lost the flexibility to move. Stuck bones may often be a source of pain. Bone adjustment functions as a type of “bone massage”. 

Portable ultrasound imaging technology has made portable devices available to our daily outpatient practice. We can immediately assess your musculoskeletal tissues during your in- person treatment sessions. This system enables us to see the muscles, the ligaments, tendons, some areas of the cartilage and the outside rim of the bone.  

Cupping is a type of soft tissue mobilization that uses vacuum to treat the injury and bring the blood flow into the area to promote healing. Stainless Steel Tool can perform deep tissue massage and release tension in muscular and tendinous areas that are usually difficult to reach using hands. Both techniques are extremely effective at addressing lesions in muscular and tendinous structures.

We apply exercises to awaken your posture muscles neuromuscularly and then train them to address underlying issues and improve your body’s overall strength. The purpose is to prevent similar problems from reappearing.
